Just about every manager I ever had - especially when I had stripes on my sleeves. Very few of the bosses I've worked for had any concept of loyalty needing to be bi-directional. When the shit started hitting the fan they usually jumped behind one of us. They thought nothing of demanding we do things they had no idea in the world to do.

That's why I developed Mullins' Law: "Nothing is impossible to the one who doesn't have to DO it." There is also Chandramouli's Corollary: "Nothing is impossible to the man who does nothing."
