I read Barone's piece this morning, and immediately thought of the Threepers, oath Keepers, Cliven Bundy, LFA, etc., etc. Barone can be slow on the uptake, but he's beginning to "get it" and that speaks well for the movement's rising impact. He seems to have tripped over this important point: "...regulators are actually thin on the ground, unequipped to deal with mass — and subsidized — civil disobedience."

Actually, Barone didn't even come up with the notion on his own. Barone's article is based upon Charles Murray's book "By the People: Rebuilding Liberty Without Permission." I don't think civil disobedience is going to work, myself. I applaud Mike's and others' efforts to get the plutocrats' attention but I believe it is a wasted effort. The collectivists will not pay attention to anything we the peons do. At least anything short of armed rebellion, that is. They control both the media and the machinery of government - including the election process and the judiciary - to a sufficient degree that they DO NOT HAVE TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE LIKES OF US!!! They control the information flow. They control the vote counts. They have sufficient numbers of low information, entirely dependent voters that with minor tweaking of the vote counts they "win" any election they choose. With both the law enforcement mechanism and judiciary firmly in their grasp they can do pretty much as they please....

Time for a few scenes out of John Ross' book, if you ask me.
