Funny the M4 carbine has EXACTLY the same down range performance as the late production M2 carbine, and is 50X more reliable under combat conditions. The M 16 was originally billed as a "replacement" for the M2 carbine, and propagandized by its backers as "the deadliest weapon in the history of warfare". They all made billions off the bodies of the GI's that died carrying that POS M 16. --Ray
