Wait! April 1st was a while ago, and we're into July, right? Yah, truth and fiction, who can tell, these days.

For the intellectually and spiritually challenged -- of any race -- beating others out the door or bulling to the front of the store checkout line and DARING anyone to say anything might be the most significant victory they achieve in their entire lives.
Sounds like an attendee was feeling disrespected. Imagine that, in a room full of devotees of thug culture.
Holding a free "Teen Bling Concert" late Saturday night downtown is just stupid. So is building a convention center within an easy walk of the projects.
Most people will blame US and our rights, wait and see.

Good on them to bring this up. Maybe the bangers will take the hint and reduce their chances of hitting innocents while more efficiently thinning out their own population.

I train hard and try to prepare as best I can for "life's unpleasant eventualities" (as Colonel Jeff Cooper once called them) but I'm not sure if I'll be able to contain my laughter if I'm ever confronted by a gangster using this asinine shooting method.

This self destruction of black youth is where the NAACP should turn it's attention and energy, not the Tea Partys.

Though I do not know if my comments are still welcome here, I will venture one thought:

I hope for the day to come soon when the newest secret pistol grip, called the Full Gangsta 570 will be the biggest thing yet. It involves twirling the pistol around the index finger then flipping it so that the barrel pints back at the user, the thumb fits into the trigger guard and nature has her way at thinning out the herds.

PS - The reason they have no arrests yet is that they refuse to use racial profiling, so they are looking for left handed, red haired albino Swedish Presbyterians to charge.

If someone had a White Expo, or an Asian Expo, or a Native American Expo, would the city even allow it to go on, due to its inherently racist title?
The closest thing we have to a predominantly 'white' mass event in these parts would be a Nascar weekend event with maybe 60 to 90 thousand folks... but they go on year after year with no homicides in spite of the fact that probably 90 per cent of the fans of Nascar are well versed in gun use, probably have at least one firearm in their car, truck or RV, and many have even been drinking a bit of beer over the race weekend. But no shootouts? Go figure.

That's the way the gun is handled when the bad guy snatches it out of the strongside holster of the person in front of him. There was a short article a few years ago about this move being practiced in prisons.

This new "gangsta" method is effectively a point-shooting method suitable only for very short ranges (e.g. 0 to 5 yards) with accuracy dropping greatly for any range beyond about 10 feet. It also has a high risk of losing control of the pistol and/or dropping it - particularly for larger caliber pistols that have higher recoil. It also is not effective for multiple shots.

It will decrease their probability of hitting their intended targets BUT will increase the probability that their bullet(s) hit unintended targets (e.g. innocent bystanders).

From a CCW or law enforcement point of view, this is a great development. It gives us more time to respond, draw, and fire accuratety with less risk of us actually being hit. Unlike these gangstas, we use proper trigger technique, grips, stances, and sight pictures that ensure our bullets hit their intended targets.

Sorry. I realize this is not funny, in light of innocents being killed by this off-hand point-and-shoot method.
BUt I couldn't help but think of the joke about the (deceased) comedian and actor Marty Feldman (Igor, Young Frankenstein); How do you keep him from seeing you? Stand directly in front of him.
