He's come a long way since his days as a Feral Persecutor, er, Federal Prosecutor, but he's the reason I didn't vote a Libertarian straight ticket in 2008.

2008: a Communist running as a Democrat, a Democrat as a Republican, and a Republican as a Libertarian (thanks to W.A. Root's sellout). I held my nose and voted for the schlemiel Barr, but never again.

My wife made me watch Bill Maher's movie "Religulous". It wasn't a complete waste of time. I came away with one really great line. A Senator from one of the southern states was being interviewed by Mahar and realized that Mahar had just allowed said Senator to tie himself logically into a colossal knot. At which point the Senator stops in mid sentence and blurts out: "There's no IQ test required to be in The United States Senate!"
Sort of explains a lot if you think about it.

@Son of Sam Adams: If we're lucky, 2012 will see a libertarian running as a Republican. I wrote him in last time because I couldn't stomach that numbnuts Barr.

I personally know one of his aids here in Atlanta. He's a good friend. I've sent an explanation to him of the real reasons behind the gunwalker scandal, and what the ATF and the administrations real objectives were behind the operation. More Gun Control on the law-abiding citizens, and more money and power for the ATF by the padding of their Stats. Also, create another crisis, along with the padded Statistics, so that the administration could easily pass more gun control on us all.
"Bob Barr still hasn't figured out the Gunwalker Plot."
