If any of you have an old hard drive laying around that doesn't work, take it apart and strip out the permanent neodymium magnets that are on the inside. One of those will support the loaded weight of a handgun. I have a 9mm Springfield XD 4" service model with an attached Surefire X300 hanging off of one right now, no sweat. Just put some electrical tape over the magnet to save your handgun finish.
