Well I could not agree more, however are you and all those nice L E O's really going to stand with "We the People"? Really, I doubt it and I am not afraid to say it either. It has been smoothed over for too damned long and we can all wonder if there are any cops out there that really will be true to their oaths. Will they walk off the job if necessary? Will they stop other officers from violating their oaths? Will they be true to anything or anyone other than their colleagues and their paychecks and stop the madness before it gets out of hand?

You will pardon me if I don't hold my breath.

How many broken oaths should we accept before we figure out which one your "keepers" will finally stick to ?

When you get your officer corp in the active and NG military to stop obeying illegal orders, as in katrina, that violates their oath even to obey presidential laws unlike the enlisted ranks then maybe someone will believe you..
when you get law enforcement at all levels to stop enforcing illegal laws then maybe we might believe you.. when you get anyone in your group to stand up and say NO with the full force of your membership then maybe we might believe that you might just be honorable people.. until at least one of those things happen and a few would be much better, stop crowing about what you will or wont do because talk is cheap and our ears are sore from the flapping going on in your group.

Honorable men only need to say something once to mean it.

The Choomer in Chief has a complete loss of rational thought if he thinks banning illegal products (including choom gang products) from use by the public is going to make any difference whatsoever. He needs to be drug tested.

Ah, excuse me, please explain to me if they are not disarming us, why are they trying to disarm us?

One question:

What will be our response when the government passes the next AWB, ensuring future generations of Americans cannot own effective military patterned weapons?

Are we going to take the tack that as long as it's not retroactive confiscation of current misnamed "assault weapons", it's okay? After all, we still have our rights....and our children be damned?

This is a serious question, gentlemen. Make no mistake, the powers that be intend to take our rights and this is the next step on the road to slavery. The question is that imperative.

We better ALL figure out how we're going to respond, b/c like it or not, this is coming.

I'm with Dakota on honoring Oaths. If you took that oath, why is it not being honored?

Except for a couple of brave souls such as John Mosby of MountainGuerrilla fame, Lt. Col. Terry Larkin who is doing time in Leavenworth for honoring his Oath, and maybe Sen. Allen West, along with a number of recently elected ex dot mil representatives, there is no one in the military standing up to the treason, traitors and domestic enemies. Maybe I'm wrong, if so, show me tangible proof. I'd like to be wrong.
It ain't looking good.

I think people of Liberty butts are swinging in the breeze.

I mean, how much treachery, treason, traitors, and outright crooks need to get away with the crimes and violition of the rule of law they are committing before those oaths get a little back up by those who took them?

It's a real honest question being asked here.

Mr. Rhodes certainly has his heart in the right place, but to be frank it takes more than a website and pounding the old keyboard to honor the Oath in the face of tyranny breathing down our throats.

I have an idea involving taking action, in a peaceful lawful manner.

An open march, in full kit, across flyover land. Just guys and girls in marshal parade, carrying their muskets, mess and kit. Peacefully, simply, fall in fall out as you desire. No destination, no declared intent, no overt conscious message, just a gathering hoofing it along. Ask folks along the road if they would care to provide a place for the marchers to bivouac for the night in their field or yard. A quiet gathering, calmly exercising the Constitutional freedoms to assemble, bear arms, cross states lines, unmolested. Respectfully. Lawfully. Peacefully. One big long color guard. You are supposed to have armed protection for old glory when on parade.

I wonder what law enforcement unit would go apeshit over a simple thing as a march? Which would provide assistance. What police officer is going to be crazy enough to perpetrate a situation where a shootout with 100 peaceful Americans carrying their second amendment tools of Liberty exchange fire having to defend themselves? Or, would that be the 21st century shot heard round the world?

I wonder how the locals whose towns and villages this parade passes through would interact?

Would it just fizzle with a few or tens of American's? Or would it become something, be a spark that lights a fire? A thing folks would hear of or see, and jump up, say HEY! I can do that! Jump in the old jalopy and bomb down to east bumfucknowhere and hoof it with a band of brothers.

It would cost only what one who partakes would need for expenses to get there and walk along for the time they had to be a part of it.

In my thinking, there is a quality to legitimacy in something like this all it's own.

You and I are Sovereign people.
Got to ask, how has the other methods of redress worked out so far?
I think we are a little behind the curve.
The folks of tyranny don't take days off in their march to destroy this Republic.
We can not afford to either.

We got to stand for something. Or we stand for nothing and tyranny wins the day.

A parade of our Liberty to bear arms would be a test of the mettle of us, our principles and courage, of who we really are. What we stand for. What we will stand for.
It would also be an opportunity to discover how tyrannical our government has become. Test their mettle. Test what government we do have, is it government of the people, for the people, by the people...or is it...What?

There has to be reckoning here everyone. Lets get it out in the open. How much respect does our government have for our Liberty and Freedoms?

It's time to fish or cut bait.
Better to find out now, then in the night with a flashbang and 50 rounds in you, or you disappear completely into some FEMA camp or who knows what.

History bears out, governments that disarm their citizens end up responsible for the murder of millions of those defenseless citizens.

Those who ignore the past take the dirt nap first.

I am an Oath Keeper member. This strong position is significant. Stewart Rhodes has led an organization that has staunchly tried to work within the bounds of reason and decency.

I know that this position was the result of much soul-searching on his part because his pledge draws a clear line in the sand, a position that could result in placing him and his followers in direct opposition to the organizations they love and respect the most...law enforcement and the military.

MTP, I posted a comment on Mike's notation of your comment. I'm about as Midwest as you can get, hard by the Mississippi River.

Draw out the line of march, and be aware that marching on the interstates will take us through Chicago, where either we or Emanuel will find out who blindly obeys orders. Being a national media hub, either the march through Chicago or the massacre of patriots will be televised.

Can we start to publicize this and hope the American Legion and the VFW will have some tough old bastards join in the march?
