It's a nice sentiment. Unfortunately there's not a Republican alive who could even explain what victory would look like. The Republican Party consists of Progressives who are in the uncomfortable position of having to stoop down into the gutters of society (as they see it) to pander to yucky conservatives for money and votes. They hate it, and they hate you, and they occasionally slip up and show it.
So when we're talking about defeating the enemy, we must first defeat the Republican Party as it currently exists. It stands between us and the Democrats, which, I submit, is it's entire purpose in this Progressive era. -- Lyle

If the Left can't be reasoned with, if it can't be bargained with, and if it can't be satiated, what other options does that leave? I guess there's always the option of handing a strongly worded note to the nearest commissar as you kneel by the pit, but that's not really very effective.

Once the Good Ol' Boy Country Club Republitards (and that includes Orrin and Juan McPain) finally dies off and blows away, and allows some of the young blood to move up, we may see some of that leadership in action. I especially like the noises that Ted Cruz is making. But until then. . . . .
