If you had all the parts on hand, including enough brake fluid to bleed the entire system (almost all brake systems need fresh fluid every two years), it should take you no more than six hours tops, allowing for being slow and methodical.

The great thing about my BMW's, I have five with 2000 being the newest, is that the brake systems are virtually identical for them all; that's from 1972, 1987, 1990, 1998, and 2000.

Japanese cars, I don't know.

I hope you have a new enough car to have all disc brakes.
I hates drum brakes!!
