It's not just 30-rounders. Jeff Cahill says that TangoDown, which produces what is arguably the best magazine for firearms that accept AR-15/M16 magazines, has completely run out of both 20- and 30-round magazines.
I'm not sure if it's a good or a bad thing that the statist loving moonbat left is so oblivious to the law of unintended consequences.

As an addition to my last post, a couple of years ago I bought the entire inventory of a small to medium sized gun show exhibitor who tried to expand too fast and ended up in deep financial poo poo. While it only included about 8 guns -- 2 AR clones among them -- he had an gigantic inventory of mags and ammo. Under friendly pressure from friends and fellow gun enthusiasts I sold around 250 20 and 30 round mags (cheap), but kept another 250 for "a rainy day."
The latest "forecast" confirms my stockpiling of those AR mags, and around 200 assorted pistol mags and 25K rounds of 5.56 Lake City ammo -- my tribe is sitting pretty well prepared considering what is promising to be a deluge hitting us in the near future...

Which, as far as we voluntaryists are concerned, is the best thing that could happen. Government is at base violence, and completely illegitimate. It's high time to become an apostate of the government religion.
"Mad Bob" is right. This country is and will be awash in magazines, and they can be manufactured pretty easily too. A fine stock is available for the coming black market. This will make alcohol prohibition look like child's play.
