It was a great game to watch. Tense right down to the last turn.

R: Tau being broken:
To be fair, the Fire Warriors aren`t very resilient, what with their middling Ld and save. IIRC, half the FW in this game broke and ran off the table. Also, the Tau FAQs (which I am not too familiar with) change or remove some of their wargear. I think that the Tau have just come back to where they should be...

That was a fun game, all right. Thanks for hosting it, Greg! I had a bit of a lip on about the Proteus but it will all come good in the next game, I'm sure. Working on a whack more metal beaky Marines including an assault squad with jump packs... will be 1500-1750 points easily when the next tranche is done.

Great looking game. Cripes, that Land Raider is HUGE! I guess the 'rapid hand movements' of the Tau got the best of it. (Sorry, lame inside joke ;)

Greg, to be fair, you did "Vegas" the damage roll against the Land Raider. Had that not happened, your AAR might have had a very different tone.

I'm trying to get my Guard sorted out (and maybe my Tau also). It was a good time, even if I was just "observing." We should all get together again and roll out the forces. Things might be different next time around.
