I have to disagree with your assessment of black umpires. After Gregg, Angel Hernandez and Cowboy Joe West rank as the worst umpires in the history of the sport. Give us caucasians our due!

I am looking forward to you creating a doctored family tree that shows Jalen he is part-Japanese, and therefore should show less emotion on the field.

Mostly for his own protection.

Those white cleats are quite simply the greatest thing ever. Jalen looks terrific!

Sorry to hear you ran afoul of the intra-minority morals police (Hispanic precinct). You should've just said that your son was a huge Ron Gant fan.

I was going to mock you for referencing Rickey over Willie Mays when it comes to #24, but then I realized we should all be grateful you didn't use it as a chance to link to Deion Sanders in a Braves uni. Again.

@Mex -- Actually, it's Mrs. Bootleg who's the big Ron Gant fan. And, I doubt it's for his stats.

@Josh -- The part-Japanese thing is really going to confuse J if we keep introducing you as his Jewish uncle.

@Krich -- Forgot Angel Hernandez. Good call. As for Joe West, I think he's more of an insufferable jerk than an incompetent jerk. But, yeah...

This Josh fellow is his Jewish Uncle? What does that make me, chopped liver?

that aside - I would end up in prison because I would kill one of those whack-job parents trying to live out their broken dreams through their kids. At least with you I know you let J do it if he so pleases.

Being an overbearing sports dad is a billion times worse than writing about Jalen. You're not ruining anything for J.

I made the blog! Yay! Also, I wish you had just feigned ignorance and asked why J would wear 42z
