There was a BodyWorlds exhibit in Salt Lake a few years ago that I went to and absolutely LOVED it. I knew mostly what to expect, and I wans't a kid, but goodness, the whole thing was fascinating.

Right up until we walked into the last room and there was an older gentleman (50-60's) posing for a group of art students. He definitely wasn't part of the exhibit, he was very much alive, very much naked, and very much on a "One Night Only!" stint. Goodness, I need some kind of warning before seeing that! Sheesh!

We saw that exhibit when it was at Mohegan Sun in Connecticut. It's amazing and creepy and really interesting and repulsive all at the same time.

Which reminds me ...

Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Dem bones, dem bones, dem dry bones.
Now hear the word of the Lord.

Toe bone connected to the foot bone
Foot bone connected to the leg bone
Leg bone connected to the knee bone...

I remember. The exhibit left me feeling very humbled and full of reverence to those real people who gave their bodies after death so this unique show could happen. How wonderful that you could experience that. I went with my daughter, aged 18 at the time, but I left my 8yr old at home. The awesomeness of it all left us in tears. Hope it comes back to Van or Oxford.
