A big happy birthday from all of us under the poplar and pine. It's been such a treat watching her grow, through your beautiful images and stories, over these past few years. I hope she has lots of fun and looooves the rainbow cakes.
She's a beautiful little girl and I hope she has a wonderful birthday!! I look at my daughter who is a year and a half old and try to picture what she'll be like in ten years. It truly is so exciting to watch them grow up. My oldest is 19 and I can't help but think that he was inside my belly at one point and how I used to suck on his little baby toes. LOL!! In the blink of an eye they're 11 and then 19. Now I have a tear in my eye!!
11 is one of the BEST ages, I think. This is a gorgeous collage of a totally golden childhood.

i'd like to say it pains me to imagine realize admit that my child is 11 today, but in all honesty, it doesn't. watching her grow and learn and explore and love the world is so wonderful that every age seems like the perfect one. she's lovely and strong and amazing and smart and funny. and it seems exactly right that she's 11. happy birthday, pookaloo.
