aren't you the good one? totally jealous. but I do admit I ran to the farmer's market this weekend and got some of the last butter beans and lady peas of the season.
You canned veggies look delicious. Just went to Camilla's place and saw a yummy recipe for our more than surplus of hazelnuts. That means so more kitchen time this week.
this weekend, i took the last of the season's bounties from the garden - tomatoes red and green, thyme, basil, chili peppers, zucchini, eggplant, parsley, zucchini flowers, shallots and borlotti beans and i turned them into this:

#68 - canned mixed veggies
for use this winter with some good bread and a salty hard prima donna cheese. i was inspired by camilla plum's programs on preserves on DR2. so inspired in fact, that i also made these...

so that's where you've been! canned (jarred?) mixed veggies look fab, they made me hungry and I just had lunch - that's how good they look
only I'm not so sure about hard and salty prima donna cheese, hope it tastes better than it sounds

Perfect motivation. So today I'm getting a few bottles of wine and pickling myself - I know it's Monday, but that just makes it perfect.

OMG, do you have a recipe or some tips in general on how to make #68 - the vegetables? I would love to do this.
BTW, Julie I have been using BC's bounty of fresh blackberries and cherries to make blackberry liqueur and cherry brandy.
