Your am photo is gorgeous. And wow - it's dark there at 3:06? Yikes. I think I'd be fairly depressed. In fact, I'm feeling a bit that way now (I'd love to see the sun -- hopefully tomorrow it will make an appearance)
One of the ironies of global warming is that the winters will get colder - and the snow falls in the UK are happening as predicted! Enjoy the puzzleing - wish it would get cold enough here to do one...

As for the "warming", that's why they now call it "climate change", warmer some places, colder others, and mostly just HUGE shifts in climate and weather patterns with an overal rise in the global (seawater) temperatures.
Ah yes, that was a nasty one! I was at work while it kept coming down and the drive home in the evening was rather scary, I tell you. I barely made it up the hill to my house. It is magnificently beautiful though, I admit. Makes everything light and happy. It can go on for 3 more weeks but then I WANT spring.;) xo Zuzana

difficult to see how much snow is actually coming down, but it's a lot.
another snowstorm is moving in. or should i say, it has moved in. and that actually fits quite nicely with my mood. one moment the world (and the blogosphere) seems like a sunny, nice place to be and the next, wham, you're broadsided by a flurry of a storm you didn't see coming. the weather, all nice and polite and happy and pleasant turns rude and unpleasant. it's really quite disappointing and frankly, i could use some spring.
my weaving class is canceled for this evening. but i've laid in a supply of chai and firewood, so we'll be fine. i've also got a dozen clarity birds to work on:

and if that's not enough to do, we've got a 3000-piece puzzle going as well:

you can see that it should keep us busy for awhile.

I like that molten sun . . . a shame that we aren't seeing more of that. Nothing but dull gray rain here today.
Is the snow bad enough that school will be cancelled?
