When I was a teenager I once lived i a house that bordered a very old house on the top of our property. The house was agent, from the Civil War era and had not had much repair. There were people living in it, but it was also said to be haunted, it was creepy and I was afraid to go anywhere near it. That is the closest I have ever come to anything like that...knock on wood!

"they say" are the second most unreliable words ever spoken. The first are, of course, 'trust me".

Yes, ghosts are real. Yes, you should respect the gut feeling you had. I could totally creep you out but this is not the place. I would rather quilt, or knit, or cook!

I have always been a sceptic. Then about 25 years ago my boss at the time was renovating an old massion that was going to be her family home. It is said the wife (Mrs Phillips) of the owner of the house died in child birth (well over 100 yrs ago now). My boss's builders were taking photos and in the room Mrs Phillips died there was an imprint of a person's face in the fireplace, said to be the late Mrs Phillips. It was hard to distinguish but I could see the outline. Since that time I have kind of believed but then my scepticisim does also creep through. Either way, I just love the possibility of it.

Do I believe in ghosts? I've not had a ghost experience myself, but have had other "out of the box" experiences that make be believe there is other energy outside our three dimensional, scientifically proven world.

I hope you can find some others to go stay there and see what happens!

i love the possibility too, and want to believe, sobi can't call myself a skeptic. I do think one has to be open to such things. :-)

I lived in a haunted house when I was a girl and saw a ghost so I have no doubt that if this house is empty, it is empty for a good reason.
