there is definitely something to rocks. They have a very primal beauty. All of my kids have fishing tackle boxes of rock collections (in which I add to)
First, I read your profile and we like all the same movies! Second, I LOVE rocks! I always bring some back when I visit someplace (by car). In fact, I've had three river rocks in my car for a couple months. They haven't made it into my dry streambed yet. I love rocks and I love tree trunks. Go figure.
This reminds me of how my sister and I used to love finding special rocks, especially at the beach, and how pretty they were when they were shiny and wet, and finding a tiny piece of beach glass once in a while.
Thanks for the little sweet memory. I like your rocks very much!
....could THIS blog be any more perfect for where i seem to be at at the moment? it's called "everyone needs a rock," and although there are more layers to that phrase (which is awesome), this is a blog featuring...yes, you guessed it....PICTURES OF ROCKS!! people with their favorite rocks. i'm in heaven. i feel validated. i feel it's proof i've not gone mad. i feel i must share more of my own pictures of rocks...

i wonder if there are meds for this?

Are you aware of the Hawaiian petroglyphs? I am sure you are. It would be interesting to compare them to those in your region.
You could say that with this facination
you are on rocky ground...
or have rocks in your head...
or just rockin on....

I like your nordic petroglyphs, too. I don't know why the phrase "rock and a hard place" is coming to mind right now....Weird.

Instead of keeping handy things like pens, gum and spare change in my cars handy place keeping thingy...I opt to keep rocks. All kinds.
For safe measure.
Love your blog.
