Thanks Julie. Just saw the program and it was great to see. I only knew Jim Houser and the people he worked with. I find streetart really fascinating. Now I have a number of places I can visit and explore. Yummie.

I'll be knitting stuff for my local stop light in SA soon. Just have to figure out a way to exit the car to fasten it around the pole without the car being hijacked or me being murdered.
Yup. Making fun of stereotypes. Or trying to.

I like the idea of knitting things for inanimate objects. You should put your imagination to work on that one. You could "tag" something with knitwear!

I love some street art even though too often here is also a sign of urban decay

When we go to "the city" (NY, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, etc.) I love to see all the street art. I think it adds to the flavor.

But it is a dying art, unless someone with money deems it otherwise.

Locally, it is just considered a crime. That is the biggest crime...

wv: verityp: very pretty in a mixed up kind of way...

I love street art if its done with the right intention, but it must be said that some tagging are just plain stupid (on windows, etc). But that doesn't diminish the fact that there are some serious graffiti artists around doing a whole lot of good for the community.
