Just read in a Dutch newspaper that the governor and his wife live separate and that that was the reason why she didn't know were he was.
And than of course there was a press conference held. He was in tears because he hurted his wife, children, family and friends.
Last comment of his wife. I forgive him because he is my man.

And they all lived happily ever after. LOL

Had dinner last night with folks who just don't get spending time on-line. They see it as a total waste of time. They listed off things they felt were more worthy. Some were good, some were rubbish (IMHO). They totally did not get the whole blogging thing. As I tried to explain what I get out of it, their eyes just glazed over. Suddenly I felt like the poet who is dismissed as someone who just writes silly rhymes. As the painter whose masterpiece is considered nothing more than finger painting. Like the fly fisherman who is simply casting bait. Oh, I feel a rant coming on...

But not before saying that I, too, love the colors of the quilt and see why they can be so inspiring after a gloomy day. Sometimes we need a little grey to make colors pop. No rain, no rainbows...

That quilt has me pining for one of my own! Or at least the ability to sew. I might be up for the secret challenge. I have a lot of secrets. However, I've kept them for so long I may have forgotten them all and I'm not so sure they're the good, juicy kind anyway. But since no one I actually KNOW (except for one person) reads my blogs, it may be doable.

Is that Spud with Obama?

I adore quilts and have one on every bed in the house. The one in your photo is particularly cheerful!

Where in the world was Sabin's lego photo taken and is she trapped? The picture reminds me of the many times I stepped on a stray analog lego while barefoot.

WV: Stepping on a lego without shoes, results in serious soligns on the bottoms of your feet.

I'm going to make a quilt pillow felt on a challenge next week. the real challenge will be if I can do it for $2 too.

I don't know if I even have 30 secrets. and if you do it in july does it have to be 31? or do we wait until September?

Having heard the gov's teary confession, I am surprised that Mrs. Gov is willing to work things out after she told him two weeks ago that he was being served an eviction notice. He confessed to having hurt 1. the mistress, 2. "you people", and 3. Mrs. Gov. That should have tipped her off about her place in the hierarchy of importance to him. (I'm surprised that # 1 wasn't "my chance to be President"). Cynical? Who me?

My husband said, before it was revealed, that the only reason to go to Argentina alone was to meet someone. He was right. Another one bites the dust, eh?

Pirates. I think Obama meets with pirates daily, they are just out of uniform.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing about that governor before I heard he went of to frickin Argentina to see his mistress. Does he not know that he is the governor and that perhaps when he disappears without warning, that people might get a little worried? Sheesh.

ok, I will give flikr a shot since it's back in your good graces. Do I need a nikon to play (go ahead and say yes...a mac too).

I was thinking about doing the challenge but there is no way I can keep up with spuds stuff. I love all her dress up stuff and photos and I will pale in comparison. Plus I'm not sure I have 30 secrets...skeletons maybe, but not secrets.

Yeah that dirty cheatin' politician is just so, so cliche. Are there ANY decent ones out there? There are so many decent people in the world, why are they so poorly represented in the political world?

I just can't imagine what we did without mobiles. I guess lots of arrangements didn't come off due to crossed wires, travel arrangements going awry. Perhaps we were all less bothered by 'being stood up' because it happened so often?

But what did we do without email? I talked to my friends on the phone SCREAM. this is my idea of a nightmare now. I don't much like to chat really, I like to mail/text/tweet which I can do when it suits me!

30 secrets, oooh I can't wait. Top tip...be sure to have a large amount of them sorted before you start. I didn't and I'm finding it very stressy! And I have no idea how they turned in to self portraits nearly every day, with dressing up. Arggh! the pressure.

Yup, that's me with MrBig in the Oval office btw. I love having 'The White House' as a contact. I wonder if MrPresident tunes in for my secrets on flickr? I bet he does...

Quilt - I need to be able to sew. It pains me that I can't. I blame my mother.

Another disappointment: we assume that the governor is doing some soul-searching (I guess that Republicans can do that), or perhaps communing with nature, and instead he's on a Argentinian booty call.

Different but related topic: I like being unplugged and offline occasionally. Particularly when I am on vacation. However, I don't like it when other people disappear! It's a sad thing when a favorite blogging friend suddenly vanishes. . .

LOVE that quilt. One of the hobbies/skills that I keep meaning to take up. (I always feel sad when we start the downhill climb of light, too.)

I actually kind of long for those days. I had refused to put voice mail on my phone (cell) because I didn't want to responsibility of being "stuck" returning calls. I kind of miss the days where if you didn't answer the phone people knew you were out. I never got yelled at for not having my phone, or not answering, or not having it on, or not returning the call, or not listening to the message.

I asked my aunt yesterday (while waiting for surprise party bday guy to show up) if they went offline were they still alive and they said they didn't know because they haven't tried and it might feel a little like pulling the plug.

I say this yet I am suppose to be resting today enjoying the outdoors yet here I am... however, it is raining, so there.
