My daughter made apple chutney for her "Food Technology" class this week and I've been eyeing it dubiously. You've inspired me to give it a go. Also on that subject, when I was in Jane Austen House this week I dipped into a book on 18th century cookery and came across a recipe for Black Apple Butter. Very intriguing; I think that we should try it.

My only evidence of creativity this week has been figuring out how I can (somewhat cheaply) make about 20 teacher gifts for Xmas.

Sabin REALLY needs to be more cooperative. xx
