I always thought I liked cows because of their beautiful brown eyes! is the Scottish Highlander an heirloom breed? all the better!

As soon as I saw these photo's I was thrilled because the Scottish Highland Breed is popular in this area. Many Scotch immigrants maintain small herds. They even bring them to public events, including our annual Fall Highland Games to introduce the breed. The ones I have met are friendly and calm. Thank You. I missed the games this year.

I must have lived a sheltered life ;) having never seen one of these. Very cute indeed. They look a bit like some breeds of hairy goats.
