Met Foods Grocery Store on Smith Street in Boerum Hill to Be Demolished Not terribly surprising as a redevelopment site, but it's a bit puzzling that someone would pay that kind of money to tear down a one story retail space to replace it with a two-story retail space. 
At least, to the layman.
