Sorry. Taxes aren't levied "for the purpose of a tiny step towards equality", taxes are levied so that the people who benefit from society pay to support the infrastructure that benefits them so well. Either way, the Walton's and many others are getting quite a bargain at the expense of the rest of us.
Actually, redistribution is indeed a primary purpose of estate taxes. They aren't a new thing either. Inheritance and estate taxes have been around a long time.
