Club information has been updated for the following chess clubs in Texas.

The Space City Chess Club meets Fridays from 6:30 pm until 10 pm
in the Clear Lake area on the southeast side of Houston, Texas.

Programs at Friday meetings are usually unrated and informal.
Our program typically starts at 7:00 pm

We offer introductory chess lessons during our club meetings.
The class is taught by John Schulke and is free of charge.
Class starts at 6:30 and lasts about an hour.

The Space City Chess Club does not charge any dues. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
Parents of elementary school age children are asked to remain and supervise their children.

Club meetings are held in the Bayou Building at the University of Houston Clear Lake.
The University is located near the intersection of Bay Area Boulevard and Middlebrook Drive.
If you are not familiar with the campus, we recommend you use Entrance 3 off Middlebrook Drive.
Follow Bayou Drive until you see the sign for Student Parking Lot "D".
Park in any of the regular student slots in Lot D1 near the Bayou building
(there is open parking in unmarked slots on Friday nights).
