I believe the 17 question survey McCarthy distributed was actually amendments offered to the House Committee - all rejected. I answered yes to 16 and 1 Maybe.

While we're arguing minutea, the czars are doing their own thing. Control finance, energy, manufacturing, goon squads, education, health care from a White House rife with radicals should give us real pause.

You could agree with all 17 of McCarthy's prepared statements, and you could agree with the proposed health care bill without being inconsistent.
Everyone who wants to know about HR 3200 should read the 18-page summary of the proposed health care bill by the Congressional Research Service, entitled, “Private Health Insurance Provisions of HR 3200", - http://assets.opencrs.com/rpts/R40724_20090727.pdf
I witnessed Congressman McCarthy select individuals whom he spoke with before convening the Town Hall, and then watched in disgust while he grinned with glee as the selected speakers spent valuable time calling our President and our respected Congressional representatives Communists.
Congressman Kevin McCarthy did his constituents a disservice by hosting "Town Hall" meetings designed to promote venomous hatred rather than provide an opportunity for citizens to learn about the need for health care reform and the proposed legislation.
