Hope you had a nice and blessed Easter, Janie! We just got back home and yes, we also went to Ocho Rios, Jamaica. I hope your daughter have a lot of fun on her trip. The weather was wonderful. The vendors were quite pushy there and some were very rude. Have a nice trip! I can tell you are already having a lot of fun, enjoying the quaint and charming town....Christine

Hi Janie,
That looks so much fun, what a change after being in our cold climates. I can't wait to see more pics as this is on my to go list too. Now I have to talk hubby into it as he doesn't like humid but it can get humid here in the summer too. Have Fun, Cindy

Charelston is such a beautiful place. My husband's cousin lives right in the historic district on Front Street. It's, also, where he went to college at The Citadel. You really should go there if you get a chance...it's full of history and is a gorgeous campus!

Have lots of fun on your trip, Janie...can't wait to hear all about it!

Oh how I miss, Charleston. I went there in Oct 2008 for our honeymoon and I fell in love with the city. I thought I loved Savannah, but, Charleston is Savannah's rich cousin. :-)

What an awesome trip, Jane! Isn't Charleston wonderful? We went years ago and I'd love to go again.

Hi Janie :)
I've been away from blogland during spring break and now I'm catching up -
How neat that you're in CHarleston! I love those huge trees with the Spanish moss. And I had to re-read the sentence about your hubby, where you said "hopefully I'll lose him" while you're shopping. How funny!
Hope you have a great time there - make some sand castles for me. :)

I hope you enjoy each and every moment!
We will also be going to NC for the first time next month and I am so excited.
Our son graduates from dental school and then we will play for 2 weeks. I LOVE all the history in the East. WE have enjoyed our travels back there and still have another son in the same D school (and grandchildren there )which gives us a great reason to keep going back several times a year.
We will make it to the outer banks but not clear down to Chareston or Myrtle beach. We will be going to Gettysburg again though for the history. JUST ENJOY!!!! I hope you have fabulous weather!

Blondie, I am so excited to hear more about your trip. My favorite thing about Charleston was the plantations. And I thought it was fun that the porches are on the sides of the old homes in the historic district.

You know how much I love Savannah. I am ready to go back there sometime soon. I hope you ate at "The Lady & Sons". We ate at her orginal restraunt. We really enjoyed some of the tours. And the river walk was really nice. I was really fasinated by all of the town squares. And the beautiful homes. Please post pictures!!

Hugs, Terrie

What a great record and pictures of your trip. I just love the history and the old homes. Sometimes I think I should have been born in that prewar time period--then I remember-no computers ! Thanks for your great post. Have a great week!

What a fun trip! That headboard at the Mansion was definitely over the top. I have wanted to go to the south since I starting to blog. There are so many southern bloggers and I have envied their nice weather and flowers. I enjoyed all the photos you took; it was a mini vacation for me.
