Hi Jane! I'm sure this was so much fun. I saw your pictures over at Pennys! I would love to meet up with bloggers like you! Be a sweetie, shelia ;)
Oh you lucky girl!!!! You know I adore Asheville! Go have a spa treatment at The Grove Park Inn. HEAVEN on earth!!!! Love that blue & white china photo. Looks like you are having a blast with the other Blog Sisters. Did you ever think your world could be so big when you started blogging all those years ago!!!! HUGS! Charlene
I used to antiques shop in Waynesville about 25 years ago. It may not be any different for you now. It sounds as if you had a lovely time with the blogging buddies. I have one blogging friend that I see in person and we have the most fun together. If you ever get to Ga. or S.C. I would love to see you. I would drive just about anywhere. Georgia is huge but I would surely do it. Have a safe trip home, olive.
Oh what fun Jane! I love how when bloggers get to meet in real life they already feel like good friends! So happy to hear your having a good time too, enjoy! Hugs, Cindy
Oh what fun.....bloggers make the best of friends, don't they. Glad you are having a good time. It always goes too fast. Some shopping and dining are a perfect getaway.
Hi Jane, How fun to hook up with some fellow bloggers. Glad you had a good time too. The Ashville area is so full of creativity and the arts.
Funny that your daughter sent you pictures of the piled up sink! LOL!

I'm so very glad you had a great time in Asheville. The area around there is just beautiful with all the mountain views. Next year you need to bring and empty suitcase with you.
How fun! What a great trip and great pictures! Our last trip to California I had the pleasure of meeting a wonderful lady I had met through blogging. She doesn't blog but reads mine. So fun to meet in person! Looks like you had a great time! Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! Miss Bloomers
Oh, that sounds like so much fun, Jane! I'm so glad you have had such a good time. We all need those get-aways, don't we? Hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend. CAS
Jane dear, Bob and I so enjoyed meeting you and The Husband! It was a fun lunch and made even more special sharing it all with the two Pennies!!! We were drenched getting to the car in that storm so shopping at the ScreenDoor was a bit chilly....I was very damp!
Thank you again for my gorgeous gift - will be hanging it and photographing it later today now we are home again.
Have a great day and a safe trip home tomorrow. Our hugs - Mary (and Bob) XX
Hi Jane, Looks like a good time was had by all. I've seen the candle lamp that you gave to Mary, it's already hanging in her porch, and it's lovely. Getting to meet blogger friends face to face is one of the best things about being a blogger. bon weekend Maggie
Loved the Corner Kitchen and how fun to be with "the girls". We had the Lobster Trap on our list of places to try but we never made it there...maybe next year!

[Image]It's hard to believe that our trip is almost to an end! Today The Husband went on an all day fly fishing excursion and I have been puttering around our suite, drinking coffee and eating Oreo cookies. I think later I may go read by the pool. It's a little cool here for swimming but I think I'll just lounge.
Every day has been interesting and fun. Yesterday we visited Maggie Valley and we saw the most incredible sights while driving through the mountains and valleys. We stopped in Cherokee and browsed through all of the shops with handmade items. We also visited the Cherokee Indian Museum
[Image]These pictures are from Monday when we went shopping in a little town called Waynesville. So many cute, cute things. I wish I had room in my suitcase!
[Image]I took this picture for all of you ladies that like blue and white!
[Image]Wednesday I had lunch with fellow bloggers, Penny, from The Comforts Of Home and Penny from Lake Lure Cottage Kitchen. They are both from Asheville and I was so lucky to have met them last year. Mary from A Breath Of Fresh Air drove in from Raleigh with her husband Bob. The Husband joined us as well.
[Image]We ate a The Corner Kitchen and the food was excellent...
[Image]...the company even better! There was a lot of picture taking...
[Image]...some gift giving...
[Image]...and laughs all around! How I love these ladies! They made this trip so worthwhile!
After lunch the clouds opened and we had a tremendous amount of rain. Thankfully it cleared up by evening and we went downtown for dinner at The Lobster Trap. We ate there last year and I was so looking forward to it! And I had the Lobster Newburg again!
I'm not sure what we will be doing tomorrow, each day gets better and better! We fly home on Saturday. So far my adult children have been good. Emily is a little lost lamb with her fiance away on business in Indianapolis and me here. Abigail texts me constantly to tell me Emily is moping around and not cleaning up after herself (she includes graphic pictures of a filled kitchen sink!!). So as you can see, I am really enjoying my time away!! See you in a few days! :-)
