Oh, Jane, I love the treasures you bought! I worked PT at Williams-Sonoma for about a year after I retired. LOVE the store and all the contents. I didn't "need" anything really but I wanted everything. :-) It finally got too difficult to stand on concrete for hours ~
I really like the flowers and the container too...so unique. It's just great when I have flowers inside.

A friend was just commenting that corned beef hasn't been on sale as it usually is this time of year. The nice weather is a bonus though and I guess we can't have everything...even though I don't know why not! Lol!
At a bridal shower yesterday, bundt cakes on pedestal plates were the table centerpieces. A spring of silk flowers with the bride's colors were in the center of each cake and a ribbon adorned each pedestal base. Tinted glaze was squiggled on each cake.
Just before dessert time, the cakes were collected, sliced on their stands and labeled for flavor identification. Oh my, it was hard to choose! I had chocolate kahlua cake. Yum!!!!
I don't know if this idea will come in handy for your upcoming festivities, but I thought I would share.

I love the idea of her using those moss numbers for the tables! I think her plan of going with an organic garden theme will be so pretty. I've never heard of making cookies with pudding mix in the recipe. Sounds interesting. I may have to venture over and check out that out. [Image]Hello everyone! It really is a beautiful sunny day today, if not a little cold. We actually reached 60 degrees twice this week and I saw a few bunnies frolicking in the backyard. I've been seeing some pretty spring decoration out there in the Land of Blog and it is so inspiring. My bunnies and chicks are ready to be let loose, but not just yet! [Image]I went grocery shopping the other day and was pretty disappointed that I couldn't find a corned beef that I liked. We usually make our St, Paddy's Day dinner on the Sunday before as that is the day of the big Southside Irish Parade. After a day spent outside in the cold fresh air watching the parade, maybe stopping in at the many "Open Houses", it's nice to come home to corned beef, cabbage and the works bubbling away on the stove or in the crock pot. So, I have to shop around today for that. While at my favorite grocery store I came upon this vase that looks like a white paper bag and absolutely fell in love with it. I found some Stargazer lilies, that I also grow in my garden and I think they look perfect in the vase. They are now all plump and ready to burst open! [Image]Last week I stopped in one of my favorite stores, Williams Sonoma, and was just in love looking at all of the spring displays. It's always fun to look at their catalogs but when I am in one of their stores, I go into a trance. I fell in love with this gorgeous table runner and napkins. [Image]And these cute little napkin rings. I think I am on my way to a pretty Easter table. [Image]I'm still on my sweet, er...baking binge. Raggedy Girl Vintage posted a recipe for chocolate chip cookies that are to die for. The secret in the recipe is a package of vanilla instant pudding. The Husband swore he had never had a better cookie, even from the bakery. [Image]You can visit her blog if you'd like the recipe. I have it written down in chicken scratch. [Image]They really are scrumptious! I used dark chocolate chips by Ghiradelli. Last night we had the masses over for pizza and to help Emily with a wedding project and the cookies were eaten up in about 5 minutes. [Image]Emily is well ahead of the game for her wedding wedding next May. These are the table numbers. She bought wooden numbers from a source online (not sure what it is) and she was able to choose her font. She then attached moss with a spray adhesive. These will be attached to a stick poked down in floral foam inside pots. Her wedding has a very organic garden theme. I'll keep sharing more, she has so many great do it yourself ideas. [Image]Aren't these wonderful?
Well, I have a lot to do today besides hunting down the most perfect corned beef. I'd like to go downtown tomorrow, just to bum around if the weather is nice. The 'paper bag' vase is adorable - and I see my Stargazer lilies already poking up through the earth - wow Spring is so early here.
Love the mossy numbers - it will be a beautiful wedding I'm sure.

A friend was just commenting that corned beef hasn't been on sale as it usually is this time of year. The nice weather is a bonus though and I guess we can't have everything...even though I don't know why not! Lol!
At a bridal shower yesterday, bundt cakes on pedestal plates were the table centerpieces. A spring of silk flowers with the bride's colors were in the center of each cake and a ribbon adorned each pedestal base. Tinted glaze was squiggled on each cake.
Just before dessert time, the cakes were collected, sliced on their stands and labeled for flavor identification. Oh my, it was hard to choose! I had chocolate kahlua cake. Yum!!!!
I don't know if this idea will come in handy for your upcoming festivities, but I thought I would share.

I love corn beef and cabbage but only the way my mom made it, even as a little kid I loved it unfortunely I didn't get the recipe but I do remember her making it, she was part Irish.

Love those moss numbers Jane! What a great idea! Williams Sonoma is awesome, but sadly, there isn't one near me. What is UP with that? Love your napkins and napkin rings....supposed to be in the 80's down here this week....crazy weather, but I am so ready for Spring!

I love the idea of her using those moss numbers for the tables! I think her plan of going with an organic garden theme will be so pretty. I've never heard of making cookies with pudding mix in the recipe. Sounds interesting. I may have to venture over and check out that out. Good luck finding your corned beef too (if you haven't already).

Love your WS stash...we were going to go last weekend ~ glad I didn't....saving for a new kitchen would have stopped for a bit ~ lol!! Isn't the weather awesome? today it got to 72 here...how about you? My little guy has had a feaver all week though...but I got him to go out and sit on the porch for some fresh air for a bit!
