Jane, your quiche looks wonderful, and I am so with you on eating well for the winter months. I haven't really cooked or baked anything major since the spring. Really didn't lose weight though lol. I already made spice cookies (post will be out later). xo

I love this time of year!! The mornings this week will be in the upper 50's which is very FALLISH for us! I am decorating our gazebo at the camp ground and look forward to sitting out with morning coffee on the hopefully soon to come crispiness!

I haven't made quiche in a long time but yours sounds delicious and I just may whip one up myself soon!

Looking forward to seeing your fall decor!

Your quiche looks great! Good for you on stocking up on the Chobani! How I wished I like yogurt. Chobani is made not far from here & everyone seems to love it.
I know exactly what you mean about decorating & then getting frustrated by the clutter. I do it every time. I just never seem to learn!

Jane, glad you are enjoying cooler weather! We are feeling like fall here too! Love your quiche...ours is very similar and we eat them a lot with whatever veggies I have. My husband did not like lima beans I put in once, but pretty much anything else is ok! I can't wait to get out the boots!!

I'm afraid to shop online, I have such trouble getting clothes to fit and look right. Lucky you! I really hope to find a pair of flat boots this year. I have a terribly wide foot and it's very difficult to find a boot. I've fallen off the wagon so to speak, regarding dieting. My husband and I both dieted starting in January and I lost 25 pounds. I've put 10 of it back on. I'm so discouraged! Good luck in your journey!

Thanks for the book recommendation, Jane! I'll save this one for my next trip to the library {I just went yesterday}. We have had some Fall-like weather the past several days, but today was the first day I wore jeans. Still wore my flip flops though! : ) Is that a crustless quiche?

I have not brought myself to do any fall decorating yet but I think I may do something over the week-end. We have had warm days and cool nights so fall is definitely in the air. I do not think that apple pie counts as healthy eating but I have been loving my greek yogurt too although mine is on my morning break at work. I have never made quiche but I love it so I will have to make it soon. xo

Hi Jane... yum, that quiche looks delish!... and yes, apple pie is healthy... we must take care of our mental health too... and that works for me!... always enjoy seeing what you are reading... I need some good books for cozying up with this Fall... excited to see your Autumn decor... I am one who still loves the traditional Autumn colors... burnt orange, brilliant scarlets... golds, etc... but I am also loving the neutral, more muted shades of Autumn this year too... I have made several arrangements in those shades recently... LOVE Hobby Lobby... tell us what you get!... xoxo Julie Marie

Quiche almost my favorite food, next only to French bread. Your recipe looks wonderful!

I too have been eating Greek Yogurt. The brand that I am enjoying now is called ZOI. It's a perfect healthier alternative to sweets.

Good luck on the weight loss! I have dropped 9 since I started my healthy reminder series.

Only 41 more to go! Whew!

Happy Fall, Jane!

I love Greek yogurt; I eat it several times a week. I've had the Chobani brand, though I more often buy the plain Greek yogurt so that I can add fresh fruit and natural sweetener to it. Good luck with your fall decorating - I did mine last weekend, though I haven't blogged about it yet. And - happy reading! I'm currently reading a book called The Baker's Daughter - quite good!

I am loving this weather, too! It was 42* this morning, with a dense fog hanging in the valleys. When the sun came up over the lake and started burning it off, the color of the sky was gorgeous! It will go into the 70s today and we're having sunshine and blue skies. PERFECTION!
And for the record, apples are fruit so YES...apple pie DOES count! ;)

Hi Sweetie! And you are exactly that! I DO wish you luck on decorating your living room with the pastels. Take lots of photo's. I could use some help and idea's but I think I am about burned out on the decorating. A few more things...such as changing the tablecloth on the diningroom table and the placemats. I used bright orange for other years and am bringing it down to spice orange. That sort of thing.

I'm afraid to throw it out as I might want it later... Oh me it's a dilemma! Thanks for the book referral as I love to read at night before going to sleep. I have been doing so on my I Pad lately & simply downloading the books to it. Saves them sitting on the shelf when I'm done. It goes back to the "don't throw it away" problem. I just did a little FALL Decorating & posted about it but, I too am keeping it much more simple. Hope you'll stop by to say HI. I also need to do a little shopping online for new Fall Clothes. Ah! I ordered two cardigans AND a pair of leather boots online two weeks ago -- and luckily the boots fit. They were 1/2 off, then 1/2 off again, and another discount -- anyway I paid $34 for them. I'm happy.

Of course, I can't wear them yet -- they don't go well with a broken pinky toe.

LOVE Greek yogurt. It's like heaven in a wee little container.

As for apple pie, of COURSE it counts as a healthy food, Jane. It's FRUIT. :-)

Enjoy the decorating; I'm just now doing a few things, not ready for the full out Fall.

We still have some things to do, and I am just kind of waiting because I would like to get a MAC. I have to steal Mr. M's computer and IPAD when he brings them home. But for some reason, I can't read the print on parts of your blog with the IPAD. I tried this morning, and I had to come back tonight.

I had to shut down my blog address on top of everything else because some not nice person tried to send me a virus and I think, hack my blog.

Anyhow, I love and miss you. Hope all is well in your world.
