Losing a parent is one of life's most difficult passages. Both of mine have been gone a while now -- my father left us on July 4, 1981. It is something you will never forget, in that it becomes a part of the tapestry of your life. I promise you, although it doesn't seem that way now while your grief is fresh, you will remember him with pleasure one day. This day will fade. My heart is with you.
Jane, my heart is breaking for you...sadly, I know how you feel as I have lost my precious daddy too...we are never ready to let them go....no matter how long we are blessed enough to have them....please know that you will be in my prayers...the thing that gives me the most comfort is know that I will see him again....

My father passed away last night. Words cannot express my sorrow and grief. I wish I could pay tribute to him, but he was a very private and gentle soul and I wish to leave it that way. Your prayers are much appreciated.

Losing a parent is one of life's most difficult passages. Both of mine have been gone a while now -- my father left us on July 4, 1981. It is something you will never forget, in that it becomes a part of the tapestry of your life. I promise you, although it doesn't seem that way now while your grief is fresh, you will remember him with pleasure one day. This day will fade. My heart is with you.

My heart goes out to you Jane! I know how hard it can be to lose a parent so close to the holidays as we lost my sweet dad on December 31st just two years ago.
