Well, this is how it works, she borrows my shoes and boots, never brings them back and I have to go hunting (which could be quite dangerous considering most days you don't know where the floor in her room) when I go to get a pair that's not there. Cute boots! I am boot happy this year, as well! In the past 6 weeks I've purchased 3 pair. I've lost 22 pounds the past few months and the tall boots now fit comfortably and look great on me ~ yay!!! Looks like you have some stylish boots. I love boots and shoes, but I have an extremely flat foot that is hard to fit. Not many style shoes will fit me.
How lucky to you that you and your daughter have the same size. My mom's feet are two sizes bigger than mine, so we were never able to share.

I used to used rolled up magazines (with rubber bands) in my boots, But I don't have many anymore--except for your last pair, which I have kept for years for that very occasional snow. But I'm always happy I have them!

I love boots, too. We seldom need snow boots here but we wear them anyway. :)) When daughter was home, we wore the same size shoes and tops..my pants were always too long for her and hers too short for me. It was such fun wearing the same clothes...:)

[Image]To prepare for long, cold winters, some people have the chimney cleaned or the furnace checked, snow blower oiled and gassed up...the normal precautions. Me? I go boot shopping. That's one of the benefits of living in a cold climate, you get to wear boots. And I LOVE boots!
The great thing about having grown {still at home} daughters, is that we wear the same size shoe. Well, count Emily out, she has wee little dogs. But Abby and I share shoes and together we have quite a selection.
I bought these boots last week and Abby didn't like them. She said they made her feel short, like an elf. [Image]WHAT? Elflike or not, these boots are walkin' and rollin'! These are great for pulling on quickly to rush out the door for something; a quick trip to the store or mall and hey, at the airport where you have to untuck your jeans, pull off your boots and your 3 pairs of socks. I love these. My Go To boot. [Image]I love all the detail on these. Emily has them in gray, but she is a wee size 6. She is also only 5'0, but has never considered herself an elf. These have a short chunky heel on them so I don't fall. And by the way, a tip I learned to keep your boots in shape when they are in your closet; put a wine bottle in them. I did that here to get the one to stand upright. Rinse the bottles out first, or hey, put full ones in and you can have your own stash when you need it. [Image]Now these will be great when I go out riding my imaginary horse. I love them. Again, chunky heel so I won't fall. [Image]And I guess these illustrate that I don't take Midwestern winters lightly. Waterproof, fleece lined and cute. I am ready!! They go with my new black parka, but that's a whole other post.
I usually buy boots a half size larger since I am probably going to be wearing thick socks. Make sure you wear skinny jeans...and that just means that they are tapered at the ankles to tuck in your boots...they are not just for skinny people. Believe me!! Boot leg pants look terrible scrunched into tight boots. And don't forget leggings, skirts and dresses with tights.
I am not a mall person and I love to shop online because I'm comfortable and I see the stores whole inventory. But one place that I just found I want to pass on to you. It's called 6PM.com. I found amazing prices there. I believe they are related to Zappos. Your order is delivered in 2 business days. And best of all, you get that chill that runs up your spine when you see the UPS truck.

I wanna wear boots! I got to buy a pair last year because we went up to Alaska... Sadly we don't wear boots much in Arizona. I think they are so cute, especially with the styles out now... Those boots were made for walkin... Have fun!

CUTE boots! I have a pair of calf high black boots - but here in California I can get away with slip on shoes. Being 5'11", I can wear the elf boots! Hmmm...I think I am going to have to go boot shopping!

I used to used rolled up magazines (with rubber bands) in my boots, But I don't have many anymore--except for your last pair, which I have kept for years for that very occasional snow. But I'm always happy I have them!
And I never knew the name Jane came from Janet! I thought Mr. Rochester was calling Jane by her full name, and now maybe you have shed some light on that being the case. But the other girls declared it was a pet name. Well we'll never know!

I love boots, too. We seldom need snow boots here but we wear them anyway. :))
When daughter was home, we wore the same size shoes and tops..my pants were always too long for her and hers too short for me. It was such fun wearing the same clothes...:)

I love boots and skinny jeans. Of course that is the only thing I like about our Illinois winters. I have boots to ride my imaginary horse too (and lots of others)! I tried on a pair of lapis blue Uggs in Florida and I can't get them out of my head. I just want them to be on sale:)

Jane, so glad you stopped by! I will be doing another post on Mon with the rest of my little "turkey" collection, they are just fun and really make me think Thanksgiving! My twig wreath I got at Target years ago on sale and my daughter's boyfriend brought me the turkey feathers a few years ago. I thought they added a little color and interest.
