Wow, Jane, you have really gone to town on this!! It is looking lovely.
I like the first swatch - you'd be able to work with this for a long time. The thing about something too pale is that the colours will never pop the way one thinks they will - and it would be a shame to get a washed out look instead of the look for which you're striving.

The Mille Fleurs crinkly one is my favorite. Not too overpowering. Just a natural look to it.

Hi! Thanks for asking about my mom. She is doing well from the waist up...fiesty and frustrated. The waist down is carrying so much extra water weight from her surgery and the transfusions, plus her bad knees can barely hold the extra weight. They won't let her take her knee meds...so, walking is really hard, she is going short distances with the walker. She doesn't like feeling so helpless, but she's grateful to be alive:)

I love the paint. We always do it ourselves (well hubby does) so having someone come in and paint seems like such a luxury to me. As for the fabrics, I like them all...my favorite is the second one, but I tend to go "less country" than many.

I've given up trying to catch up on all I missed, I'm just jumping back in. Thanks for the visit!

Jane - the painting job looks wonderful! So glad you managed to get your woodwork painted white - it's so fresh looking. (Besides - maybe 100 yrs from now some husband who hasn't been born yet will be genetically inclined to strip it back to bare wood! LOL) I love that toile also and the crushed silky fabric just looks scrumptious! This is so much fun picking fabrics with you and you are definitely getting your French farmhouse look in the bath. I love the doggy outfits and not only does the celphone pic look like a portrait...it looks like a royal Vintage portrait!
Happy weekend, Jane!

BLONDIE! This is gorgeous and only the beginning! WOW
I would go for the crackle light milles fleurs one and for the toile in blue or green or both. Great French country. The other 2 ones with the heavy flower motif is too hard to pull off. A little too strong for me as i don't want in a room to stand out. With the toile and light one. Everything would go with it and you can change for the seasons if you want like the accessories... pillows...Awesome! So fun! Have fun!

Hi Jane,
It all looks so great! I love the painted cedar. If you are going for French Farmhouse, then the toile is the best choice. Or a big gingham would be nice. You could also keep it light and just do a white linen/cotton curtain. Does Country Curtains still have them with bobbles across the edges? Can't wait to see what you end up doing. Hugs,
Karen

Hi Jane,
I really love the color you chose for your rooms. I have the color flax in one of my rooms and I love it. Your bathroom is looking really good, love the paneling painted the light color.
The third fabric swatch that you are thinking about is the exact same fabric that I had in a bedspread and shams. Great minds think alike!!!
Isn't it fun decorating all over again. So many choices and so many different directions to go.
You are well on your way to an even lovelier home.

Boy, am I glad I'm not trying to chose a fabric...they ALL look nice to me. The walls look TERRIFIC painted, Jane. Your color choices turned out great!

Regarding my apricot tart/cookie recipe: they DON'T melt in your mouth...in fact they got very hard & crispy by the next day. More work needed on that recipe. LOL

Hello Jane~I've truly missed my visits, but little by little I'm catching up.
Although last month was difficult with our loses a new month has brought new hope.
I poured myself a cup of tea and read a spell...You've been a busy gal. We too have started a few redo projects in our other home, where my son resides. I though it would be easier since it's a condo, but...it's work no matter the size, lol.
I've got a passion (addiction) for toile. I've got panels on my bedroom window that are a different color from the traditional, they're still my favorite. I look forward to seeing your final reveal.
Come by for a visit.
