Hey, Janie! Sorry to hear about the bee sting. Do you ever take benadryl for insect bites? I do in case of a reaction. AND there is something you can get at the drug store to paint on insect bites, and it works. It might even be called something like Sting. ;-)

I hope that bee sting didn't bother you too much! When we went away on our little NH getaway, I got stung by a bee on my bottom lip! I looked like I had a botox job done! lol Thank goodness it happened at night (outside at a restaurant no less), so being the end of the day, not many people saw it! lol

PS...ohhh, about using sheets for my summer sewing project...I needed so much fabric that it was just the "cheap"...urr...uhh...I mean inexpensive way to go! hehe! They really are great if you have a project where you need some wide widths and lengths...less seams!
So sorry about your bee sting! A wasp got me a few years ago on my eyelid and it was agony! He filled my face up with venom and it was swollen for a week..and tender for 3 months! I do hope you were able to go to the wedding and enjoy yourself. It was fun to read your normal life goings and all the groceries made it home alright! :) My daughter and friend loved the 'Help'. I really need to get it. I am glad the cute Irish plumbers were able to help you with your sewer problem and you got some entertainment while doing so!!! :D ~♥

Oh Jane poor thing.. stung by bee!!! that's no good.... I remember how horrid that was as a kid... usually at the local swimming pool!! why there I don't know!!

[Image]I have absolutely nothing to blog about! I did however, promise to leave my giveaway open for two posts to give everyone a chance to comment and join in. So, I am sitting here in my jammies, reading blogs while Milo lies on the table waiting for the squirrels to come down from the trees and I thought I would just ramble a bit.
~Our temps have been in the low 80's and I have had the windows and doors flung open all week, just enjoying all this fresh air and giving the air conditioning a little vacation.
~It was back to school for Abby and she landed two great babysitting jobs to help support her shopping habit. Yay!
~I finally started reading The Help, which I bought last winter. I have 2 chapters left so don't tell me what happens.
~I read that Steven Spielberg is making the movie and that Claire Danes may have the part of Skeeter and Anne Hathaway the role of Hilly. Sounds good to me. Now who should play Aibileen and Minny?
~Ran errands with Emily Wednesday morning...her errands, not mine. I just HAD to get out of the house.
~The Husband left me his 2~seater sports car today and I have grocery shopping. Will have to strap the bags to the roof.
~Had some sewer problems in the backyard Tuesday morning but was quite entertained by the two most gorgeous Irish plumbers that came to fix it.
~I'm way too old and married to be entertained by cute Irish plumbers.
~Was picking basil in the garden this week and got stung by a bee. This hasn't happened since I was about 5 years old. I really wanted my mom.
~Have a wedding to go to tomorrow and am agonizing over what to wear.
~May cancel going to wedding due to bee sting.
Okay...I've rambled enough. I am looking forward to going to Target for the gift card so I can do a little shopping of my own. I wish everyone the best of luck and want to say Hi to all of the new followers. It's really been a lot of fun. I hope all of you had a good week and that you have an even better weekend!

Adolphs meat tenderizer...add a small amount of water to create a paste. Put on any bee sting and the sting goes away...

Hey, Janie! Sorry to hear about the bee sting. Do you ever take benadryl for insect bites? I do in case of a reaction. AND there is something you can get at the drug store to paint on insect bites, and it works. It might even be called something like Sting. ;-)
Hope you have a good weekend. I am nursing Mr. Mapgie as I mentioned, and I now have a funeral of a close friend on Monday so will be driving there. I will trade you a wedding for a funeral!

This was fun Jane ~ loving the rambling. Got stung last year by a bee and taped a penny to the spot and it works ~ it really does. I read The Help this summer ~ won it in a giveaway ~ I really liked it and can see that it would be a good movie. Hope you are having a fabulous week-end ~ have fun at the wedding!

Girl I have a sport's car and you would be shocked at what I can pack in that baby...Some times when I get home from shopping Len just keeps pulling stuff out of it and asked me where I sat to drive..Oh well I will always figure out a way to bring home a new treasurer ha ha!! Jane-I even enjoy your rambling! Milo is so funny on the table. Our daughter's dog is a table sitter too :)! The Help is being filmed not far from here and a friend of a frien is doing make up on the set. I would love to go visit. Cicely Tyson has a role too. I hope you have finished the book. I can't remember what year Abby is in school-- a senior? Have fun enjoying the nice weather and the fun car! And yes, you can still enjoy the plumbers as long as you look and don't touch :) Now, I have rambled too. Off to make dinner after a long day in the yard!

Ouch! Bee stings are the worst! I haven't had one in about 20 years, but it still feels fresh on my knuckle.
Wear whatever you want to the wedding. Just go and be part of someone's exciting day. It'll be inspiring!

I hope that bee sting didn't bother you too much! When we went away on our little NH getaway, I got stung by a bee on my bottom lip! I looked like I had a botox job done! lol Thank goodness it happened at night (outside at a restaurant no less), so being the end of the day, not many people saw it! lol

Ohhh my...the dog days of summer are upon us! No offense to Milo of course! hehe! It has been a lazy last couple of weeks for me as well...but I was needing a little rest after having my daughter and grandchildren here! Hehe! Well sweet friend, I am sooo sorry to hear that you were stung by a bee...ouch! And hey, a bee sting sounds like a great excuse to me for getting out of going to a wedding! wink!

PS...ohhh, about using sheets for my summer sewing project...I needed so much fabric that it was just the "cheap"...urr...uhh...I mean inexpensive way to go! hehe! They really are great if you have a project where you need some wide widths and lengths...less seams!

So sorry about your bee sting! A wasp got me a few years ago on my eyelid and it was agony!
He filled my face up with venom and it was swollen for a week..and tender for 3 months! I do hope you were able to go to the wedding and enjoy yourself. It was fun to read your normal life goings and all the groceries made it home alright! :)
My daughter and friend loved the 'Help'. I really need to get it.
I am glad the cute Irish plumbers were able to help you with your sewer problem and you got some entertainment while doing so!!! :D

Oh I hope the bee sting doesn't affect you like it does me!! I am so allergic to bug bites/stings. I wish you would send some of that cool/fling the window open weather down here. IT'S STILL HOT!!!!!!! Hubby is hanging in there. We both are. He has had some complications every day. Seems we take 2 steps forward & 1 back. BUT, at least we are still moving forward. Thanks for asking. Hope you got all those groceries tied to the top. Funny picture of that in my mind... HUGS!

poor thing.. stung by bee!!! that's no good.... I remember how horrid that was as a kid... usually at the local swimming pool!! why there I don't know!!
Well... If you can't find something to wear to wedding.. I'd say the trauma of the bee sting is a fine excuse!!!
You can pass the Irish plumbers my way if you like.. although.. i suspect the bill would be huge with a plane trip to Sydney included..

I've never read that book, but it sounds good so I may have to get it. Our kids are still not in school yet. They go back after Labor Day. I think we are the last in the country to send our kids back to school!
