Sorry to hear about the bee sting. I have a slight bee allergy and always have a little benadryl around, as per Dr Z's orders. It isn't severe enough for any other remedy.

Adolphs meat tenderizer...add a small amount of water to create a paste. Put on any bee sting and the sting goes away...

I had to go to a funeral last Wed and UGH! It was 105 out and killing me to pull out a black bag, black shoes and a black dress. Ugh. One of those "Life happens" moments.

Oh Janie, I would like to have a life just like where I do not have to do anything, lol. Milo looks so relaxed there. I am NOT selling MY Polish pottery. The ones I am selling are duplicates. They were ones I thought I bought on a bargain that I meant to sell on Ebay. I sold quite a few but I got tired posting so it's easier to sell now that I have a store. Thanks again for the cross. Hey, Janie! Sorry to hear about the bee sting. Do you ever take benadryl for insect bites? I do in case of a reaction. AND there is something you can get at the drug store to paint on insect bites, and it works. It might even be called something like Sting. ;-)

Hope you have a good weekend. I am nursing Mr. Mapgie as I mentioned, and I now have a funeral of a close friend on Monday so will be driving there. I will trade you a wedding for a funeral!

Jane-I even enjoy your rambling! Milo is so funny on the table. Our daughter's dog is a table sitter too :)! The Help is being filmed not far from here and a friend of a frien is doing make up on the set. I would love to go visit. Cicely Tyson has a role too. I hope you have finished the book. I can't remember what year Abby is in school-- a senior? Have fun enjoying the nice weather and the fun car! And yes, you can still enjoy the plumbers as long as you look and don't touch :) Now, I have rambled too. Off to make dinner after a long day in the yard!

I hope that bee sting didn't bother you too much! When we went away on our little NH getaway, I got stung by a bee on my bottom lip! I looked like I had a botox job done! lol Thank goodness it happened at night (outside at a restaurant no less), so being the end of the day, not many people saw it! lol

Ohhh my...the dog days of summer are upon us! No offense to Milo of course! hehe! It has been a lazy last couple of weeks for me as well...but I was needing a little rest after having my daughter and grandchildren here! Hehe! Well sweet friend, I am sooo sorry to hear that you were stung by a bee...ouch! And hey, a bee sting sounds like a great excuse to me for getting out of going to a wedding! wink!

PS...ohhh, about using sheets for my summer sewing project...I needed so much fabric that it was just the "cheap"...urr...uhh...I mean inexpensive way to go! hehe! They really are great if you have a project where you need some wide widths and lengths...less seams!

So sorry about your bee sting! A wasp got me a few years ago on my eyelid and it was agony!
He filled my face up with venom and it was swollen for a week..and tender for 3 months! I do hope you were able to go to the wedding and enjoy yourself. It was fun to read your normal life goings and all the groceries made it home alright! :)
My daughter and friend loved the 'Help'. I really need to get it.
I am glad the cute Irish plumbers were able to help you with your sewer problem and you got some entertainment while doing so!!! :D

Oh I hope the bee sting doesn't affect you like it does me!! I am so allergic to bug bites/stings. I wish you would send some of that cool/fling the window open weather down here. IT'S STILL HOT!!!!!!! Hubby is hanging in there. We both are. He has had some complications every day. Seems we take 2 steps forward & 1 back. BUT, at least we are still moving forward. poor thing.. stung by bee!!! that's no good.... I remember how horrid that was as a kid... usually at the local swimming pool!! why there I don't know!!

Well... If you can't find something to wear to wedding.. I'd say the trauma of the bee sting is a fine excuse!!!

You can pass the Irish plumbers my way if you like.. although.. i suspect the bill would be huge with a plane trip to Sydney included..

Aw, Milo is so cute. We've had cooler temps too. It's great to open the windows and let the fresh air in.
