Love those prints! Very pretty and love the china too. Thanks for visiting my blog. To answer your questions about the computer armoire, I found it on Ebay. Here's the seller's link.http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/vivaart_W0QQ_nkwZQQ_armrsZ1QQ_fromZQQ_mdoZ. I think he has a warehouse in California but the finish that we wanted was not available when we ordered so he had to order it directly from China. It took awhile to be delivered because it was tied up in customs. He is offering some now with free shipping. We paid shipping for ours but the price we paid for the item was lower. If I remember correctly, I think we paid around $150 for shipping...Christine

I love these, Janie. That blue china is SO pretty, and I really like the pictures you've been collecting for the lake house. Can't wait to see more!

Hope you had a great Valentine's Day and that you have a very Happy Blue Monday, my friend!

XO,

Sheila :-)

One can never have too many pieces of blue and white china. And if that pattern was indeed given away with fill-ups, that makes it all the more interesting!

I love things that have "stories" behind them.

Thanks for sharing!

Love all the blue and white china you found, I think this is perfect for a lake (or beach) house. Great prints, I'm like you, I will leave the walls bare until I find just the right thing. Which drives my husband nuts, as he is an artist's manager and picture framer. He says he's glad all of his clients aren't that picky or we'd starve lol. Great post, Kathy

My mother in law had a set of beautiful blue and white dishes that she got from the grocery store in the 70s, buy so many groceries and you could get a peice for .29 cents. They look like the set you have but these where made by Norleans, and very expense to replace also.
Thanks for sharing.

I love your dishes! Don't forget to try eBay. Save your search and just keep checking. They will pop up at better prices usually than Replacements. However, I do love Replacements!

You would enjoy the book on the First Ladies. Lots of tidbits not usually printed.

I agree with the first (Susan's) comment...I hever get tired of blue and white china! And your Haviland is beautiful...Who cares if it once was a giveaway? I've seen promotional items on the Antique Roadshow, so you never know! :-)

Your new pictures are totally cute. I, of course, love the little bicycle. We own three vintage bikes and it takes every ounce of restraint for me to not buy more (well, that and the lack of storage space. ;-)

I never get tired of looking at blue.. I'm so excited girl.. I have the same set of china that you have setting on the chair...I started it 30 years ago when hubby and I got married..broke one the other day and thought I was going to cry... I'll be going to the website to try and get a replacement.. I was going to glue it..I hope you went out and got your copy of Country Sampler.. :-)

In aswer to your question, I think you're right...Eddie Ross definitely started as an "east coast thing"...he was at Martha Stewart but did a lot of local "flea markety things." Then he was on Top Design on Bravo and now everyone's getting to know Eddie! I have to say, I do dig his style.

Have a good night! I'm heading to Colorado tomorrow night for a ski break...Ironically, I'll probably have more time to read blogs since I'll be away from work. :-)

Hi Jane, thank you for your visit on yesterday's post about my town. Also thanks for your kind comment as well.

How fun to have a lake house to decorate. I love the blue and white china. I would try to find my bowls anywhere besides Replacements LTD. because they overcharge in a big way.

If you need to find a rare piece, that is the place to go, but I would try E bay first. Good luck with your search.

Hugs...Jeanne

Hi, probably our entry may be off topic but anyways, I have been surfing around your blog and it looks very professional. It’s obvious you know your topic and you

appear fervent about it. I’m developing a fresh blog plus I’m struggling to make it look good, as well as offer the best quality content. I have learned much at your

web site and also I anticipate alot more articles and will be coming back soon. Thanks you.
