Proceed north of Iowa City on State Highway 1 for about 1 mile north of I-80, to Rapid Creek Road, and turn east.  About 4 miles NE on this road it will dead-end at 280th St.  The school will be on the north side of 280th just east of this intersection, fire number 5242.  My 1912 map makes it appear to be sitting about 1,000 to 1,500 feet east of this position, but the map is not always that accurate, so this may or may not be the original location.  It has been turned into a machine shed.[Image][Image][Image]Photographed 4/6/12
