My Blood Pressure's been pretty low lately. That's a good thing, it means the kidney is doing its job. The doctors have been slowly lowering the BP meds. I suspect, that I will soon be off all of them. Especially when I start exercising again. I was on the bike (on a trainer) Saturday. I would do it more often, but my bike weighs in around 20 lbs and the trainer is pretty hefty as well. I'm still not supposed to lift them yet. That means I have to ask my overworked wife to get them out for me, and who wants to do that...I've ordered some Vibram Five Fingers (VFF). I ran a track for a semester in high school and hated it. When I moved to VA in 1995, I tried running, but ended up with a pain in my leg, a pain that stayed with me until RAAM 2007 when a two person female team loaned me their massage therapist. Anyway, I've been hearing a lot about the barefoot running movement, so I thought I'd give the VFF a try. I signed up for a Sprint Distance Triathlon in Seaside Heights in September. My family has a reunion every year at Seaside after the season is over. Last year, there was a triathlon on the Sunday and a few of the family thought it would be cool to enter it. I signed up for this year's edition of the Great Atlantic Ocean Triathlon. This would be my first triathlon. So, I'll have plenty to blog about, including my race preparations for three different sports.
