I tend to not like movies about stereotypical injustices for that very reason. I feel raped by the Uncle Tom exagerations, which the director thinks are necessary to demonstrate inequality. American History X was done perfectly, because it was both compelling and not morally simplified. The only other movie like it that I have enjoyed(can't remember the name) was a film I saw 3 years ago about an emotionally disturbed Jewish kid who becomes a Nazi(post wwII). Very well done, if I can ever remember the name. Hope you're enjoying google. post more often so I can graffitti your website.

But Crash is still a really great film and certainly worth seeing. It does over-simplify when it comes to certain minorities, yes, but it does a fair job of balancing the whites and the blacks. Great stuff nontheless.

I think you're thinking of a Stephen King movie... like Apt Pupil or something?

hmm, it isn't apt pupil. It was an independant film. And actually american history x was not perfect now that I'm remembering it. While it was very well done, there is an uncle tom element to it.
