Catherine and I attended the annual Queen's Day reception of the consulate yesterday. Every year it's an honour to be invited. Today I have another Queen's Day party but that will be less formal. It's in a pub and the dress code is "Casual Orange". Catherine is already wearing something orange to work but when I started in my current position I was told that there was 'business casual' on Friday. I guess my bright orange soccer shirt is therefore not the most appropriate thing to wear.
