Faking airline security is one of the preferred playfields of totally incompetent interior ministers (arguably a redundant description). A week ago I had to travel to the country famous for mad cow disease. Even though I could fly there with normal hand luggage, i.e. subject to brain-dead EU regulations, they would not let me fly home with more than one piece of hand luggage. Totally absurd.
Now, Bruce Schneier, world's leading security expert and critic of security theater, announced the Second AnnualMovie-Plot Threat Contest. This way he wants to force airline "security" into banning even more things to finally make absurdity obvious to everybody.
