Ok well, been a bit of a break, but thought I should do the 'at home' update for anyone out there still checking in. Been home for about 7 weeks now, cant believe how fast its gone. Did I go to South America?! Decided to skip Thailand on my way home, opting just for a week in germany with the lovely Palmowskis then back home to Melbourne. An emotional homecoming I must say - felt like Id never been away but also like my whole world had changed without me. Adjusting to life back home was ok, but breaking up with nick made it full-on and basically very crap. I had three weeks before uni started to establish me and a new life in this city without the boy, but I seemed to have managed, and am still managing thanks to my loverly friends and family who have rallied around. The odd, or I should say even aswell, night out on the town, getting dressed up and having a laugh have made for a busy time. And Im back at uni now - fourth and final year which is a little daunting. Hadn't written an essay in about 18 months, but I think its a bit like riding a bike.
So basically, wanted to go away again as soon as I got back, but have started to see the good things about life at home again. My bed, the best shower in the world, the most understanding friends in the world (that includes the fam), mums food (ooh yes and the food of a particularly handsome young chef Ive met!) maggie the cat, my wardrobe (both for its content and its ability not to be put on my back), my favourite bars and shops, my bike, and just basically Melbourne. Its ace!
Life is good, I have a smile on my face (most of the time), and Ive had one of the most amazing experiences in the world! the trip was such an adventure, and has changed me and my life in ways I didn't expect, but its gotta be all good yeah?! We all learn and grow in unexpected ways (gee can you tell Ive done a lot of thinking!)
