Sorry for the lack of updates everyone, life just keeps getting in the way! Here's a quick news roundup for you all, it goes in order from December 11th through today. This isn't all of the news, just the bigger stories, but it is still a long post. (thanks to Magical-Menagerie for the news)
Golden Globe Nominations
Alexandre Desplat the composer for Deathly Hallows Part I and II has been nominated for his work on The King’s Speech soundtrack.
Helena Bonham Carter has also been nominated for her work in The King’s Speech as Best Supporting Actress
Finally, Kelly MacDonald (the Grey Lady) has been nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series in Boardwalk Empire.

Deathly Hallows: Part II Trailer Rumor
A new rumor has surfaced online stating that the first teaser trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part IImay be released on January 24th! This does follow the usual release of trailers as it is about six months before the film will be released. But remember, this is a rumor until WB confirms it, but something to look forward to nonetheless!
----- Young Snape and Scorpius Malfoy Actors revealed
The actors playing young Severus Snape for “The Prince’s Tale” in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II, and Scorpius Malfoy for the epilogue have been revealed on a blog. Benedict Clarke will be playing Young Snape while Bertie Gilbert will be playing Scorpius.
Deathly Hallows Short-Listed for Oscar Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part I has been short-listed for the Academy Award for Achievement in Visual Effects! Back in December it was long-listed, and now a panel of judges have selected it as one of the finalists.
It has been nominated alongside “Alice in Wonderland,” “Hereafter,” “Inception,” “Iron Man,” “Scott Pilgrim vs. The World” and “Tron: LEGACY.”

French WB Releases Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II Synopsis
Warner Brothers France has sent over the official Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 synopsis to UHP. Read a translation from French below, hopefully WB USA will release the Official English version soon:
In Part 2 of this final episode, the battle between the powers of good and evil in the wizarding world becomes a war without thank you. The stakes have never been so great and nobody is safe.
