[Image]So, late last night I received a notification that my Facebook login had expired, and upon attempting to re-log-in, I found myself faced with a screen with which I have become all-too-familiar...

I must admit, I'm getting a little tired of this, so I dashed off the following response and shared it in a screenshot (since the initial appeal process only allows submission of images):

Dear Facebook,

We did this already… remember?

Perhaps you’ve forgotten - or some glitch has erased your memory of it… so I’ve attached a screenshot of your acknowledgement that “Fr. Justin” was indeed my authentic identity and your resulting decision to reactivate my account to refresh your memory.

Please reactivate my account… again. And, in case the blog post I wrote wasn’t thanks enough: Thank you.

I received a response fairly quickly... Perhaps because their automated tools recognized that I had not uploaded a photo of legal ID? This time I was apparently communicated not with "Greer", but with the whole of "The Facebook Team":

So I dashed off the following response... Not a literary masterpiece this time, since (as I said) I'm getting tired of this:
Um... Yes, I corresponded with you before on this very subject. Please reference my correspondence with Greer, of Facebook Community Operations (Case #237296916), in which, over the course of most of last week, I established, with Greer, that Fr. Justin Edward Hewlett was indeed my authentic identity.

For your convenience, I will also reattach the legal ID that I already supplied to Greer, and will repeat to you the request with which I concluded my correspondence with Greer: 'I have attached two pieces of government-issued ID that should verify that my legal name (as I have already stated previously in my correspondence with you) is "Edward Hewlett". Please keep in mind that (again, as I have already stated), the vast majority of the people I interact with on Facebook know me as "Father Justin Hewlett", not as "Edward".
'My hope is that providing these requested proofs of my legal identity will allow you to proceed with your proffered assistance with keeping my title of Father on my profile, and, more precisely, that they (in conjunction with the previous evidence that I have submitted indicating that the name I am known by is actually "Father Justin") will enable Facebook to continue to recognize the authentic identity I have had on your platform for years, and to accommodate the traditional mode of address used by all those who honour the Orthodox Christian sub-culture that I represent as "Father Justin".'
I assume that I have either been flagged by someone as not using my proper name or that my accepted identity has fallen afoul of some algorithm that does not take into account the fact that you have already accepted "Fr. Justin" as my identity. If the problem is the latter, please note that I am equally willing to be listed as "Father Justin" rather than "Fr. Justin" if that helps to solve any algorithmic flagging that may have caused this repeat lockout. I would really rather not go through this process a third time.
