Sandy was not kind to garden trees... several willows at various gardens are doing poorly and over at Firemen's Garden, they had to cut down a pine tree (that had long been the garden's centerpiece) because it died over the winter...

Yes, planting more trees is a good idea if the land will support it. Sometimes the root system is pretty dense.
