It's by appt only! (Which is BRILLIANT to avoid people who come in on an impulse to adopt without really thinking it through)

I'm trying to volunteer there to walk some dogs. I called and they told me to fill out a form online at www.lilmonsters.org. The site isn't working, any suggestions?

Does anyone have any more info about this place? Is it still filthy? Are the owners not there, and the animals are there alone?

I spoke with the owner today cause I was concerned about a couple of the cats.....he said they were on antibiotics for upper respiratory infections & said some of these cats rescued by Lil Monsters are getting medical attention for the
first time in their lives since being rescued.....

Any updates or current info.? I hope these rescued pets are going to a good place. How much to adopt? Have the animals seen a vet? Are they altered and current on vaccines? Please advise.

I fostered a puppy from 'lil monsters, and then I adopted her. I don't think the place is filthy at all. There's always someone there with the animals (usually a behaviorist) -- they just like you to call first and make an appointment so that they're not in the middle of taking care of something else when you come by. The puppies come with shots and are altered, and my puppy, aside from the ordinary kennel illnesses (kennel cough, in particular), is in fairly good health. They do good, important work, and it's valuable to support their effort.

My only criticism is that when the dogs are out of their crates, they run up and down the place like crazy, and they're not kept calm. Sometimes the smaller puppies can get run over, and certainly over-exercised.

I adopted a puppy from here. She's in fairly good health, although she does have kennel cough. She came altered and with most of her shots, and the people there offered to pay for her remaining immunizations.

In my experience the place is kept clean, and someone is always present (a behaviorist, usually) to look after the animals.

'lil Monsters does good, important work, and it's worthwhile to support them in their efforts. They've saved a lot of dogs who would have been euthanized or, worse, sold to research facilities.
