Can the police department tow this car if enough residents contact the local precinct and 311 to complain about it?

strange though it may seem, sometime ago I was informed by my police precinct that if a car alarm goes on for an extended period to call 911. I did not want to abuse this system, but a similar incident forced me to do so. result - an unmarked car arrived within a short period of time with what looked to be some sort of computer. all this was viewed at some distance from above. technologically they located the owner, who arrived not long after. they spoke - probably issued the creep a ticket & he drove the offending vehicle away. ahhhhh - relief!!!
Seriously.....crowbar the hood.....rip out wires.....done!

A dozen pack of eggs out the window onto the windshield in the dead of night will also do the trick. I mean, it'll set the alarm off, but that's already going to happen anyway... If the driver's going to be a pain in the ass to you might as well give it right back...

There are dozens of ways to blow up a car, but flaming tampons may be the most creative way yet.
Police in Metal Township, Penn. arrested Patricia and Quentin Deshong for allegedly carrying out such an attack earlier this month. The pair reportedly ambushed a green Ford Fusion and broke the car's windshield and windows; dented its body; and disconnected its hoses.
They also left blood on the front passenger seat.
Investigators believe the Deshongs removed the car's gas and oil caps and inserted flaming tampons into the engine and gas tank, reports the Smoking Gun. Tampons were found in both compartments along with ashes.
Patricia Deshong seems to the mastermind behind the flaming tampon attack. She's Facebook friends with the car's owner, and posted a wall message about exacting revenge.
She was also carrying the car's license plate and registration card in her purse when police located her and Quentin in a nearby bar. They were subsequently hauled in for public drunkenness, according to the Probable Cause Affidavit.
Both have since been charged with two counts of felony criminal mischief and attempted arson, according to the Chambersburg Public Opinion. Patricia has also been charged with theft and making terroristic threats.
Stealing a license plate? A crime. Threatening to kill a State Trooper while being held at the station? A terroristic threat -- and not very bright.

Someone on King St. once told me that he affixes a cardboard sign with carpenter's glue onto the windshield of offending cars. Buy carpenter's glue at the building supply store on 15th St. and 9th Avenue.

Back in the black and white days, (early 90's) we had a similar experience with a car on 14th near avenue B. after many nights of obnoxious car alarm noise a well placed cinder block silenced that car alarm forever! It may sound mean, but I miss the days where a stupid problem like this could be solved with a simple act of violence.

I think you can call the police and get them to tow a car with a car alarm away, unless the law has changed. We did it once on a summer night several years ago when a car with a nonstop alarm was parked in front of a sidewalk cafe where we were eating.
It took several calls but they really did show up and we thought it was worth the trouble.

Went through something similar years back. For several nights , every 40 minutes or so, this damn alarm kept going off.
Then, one night, off it goes, followed by a huge crashing sound. Someone dropped a cinderblock off the fire escape onto the offending vehicle.
Dozens of neighbors ran to their windows... and began cheering into the night!
Never saw that car on our street ever again.
