I wish I could recall the lovely clothing store on that corner--acid washed jeans, neat rows of t-shirts in every color--but I've got a gap in my memory...
What! That is big news about Lulas. Going there tonight.

If there is no dairy in it, it is not "ice cream" - its ice soy-shit.

There aren't enough fat tourists from Mississippi to possibly make that place profitable.

The place formerly known as Lula's is open and just as good as ever. They sell DF Mavens at Commodities and it's pretty good - better than Stogo's imo. Fun flavors, and doesn't taste 'healthy' at all. Excited to have another dairy free option in the neighborhood!

I'm looking forward to this. Hope it's good. Been thinking of eliminating dairy from the diet, and ice cream would be about the only thing I miss....
DF Mavens is a really excellent allergy-conscious brand; I don't know if they can make it on this corner, but if they've got other products in the store, they might.
As Anonymous 12:02 said, DF Mavens "doesn't taste 'healthy' at all." Last thing you want is healthy ice cream.
That prime northwest corner space on Second Avenue and St. Mark's Place has a new tenant — a retail outpost of DF Mavens... as their tagline says, "The finest dairy-free ice cream in the world. Made in NYC."

Why is the word "in" capitalized?

No way this place makes it 6 months.

Is it artisanal? Biscuit-flavored? Hoof optional?

This is the same as Stogo which I never liked. I miss Lula's.
