Nice musical interlude, too -- I wish I had thought of that. BTW, John Warren @ the New York History Blog weighed in with the news flash that a tunnel upstate predates Atlantic Ave by about a decade. Oh well.

Keep your eye on his site -- or maybe call the number there. One's announced for the end of June (it will be sweltering down in that hole) but I heard one of his crew say they've been doing them more than once a month while there's demand.
