That is so sweet.

I cling to all evidence of humans not being venal, evil and utterly fucked right now.

And yes, would love to see the photos!

It's mild-mannered perversion, which is the best kind of perversion.

Does anyone know who the jerk was letting off firecrackers all night on July 4th and into the wee hours of July 5th? He set off two or three last night and probably will again tonight. He's done it for at least 15 years, and seems to be located on either the south side of E. 6th east of Ave. A (a bit closer to A than B), or possibly on 5th St. between A and B. He seems to be doing it from the top of a building.
He usually starts doing it three or four weeks before July 4 and continues for several weeks after the holiday. Extremely annoying and rude.

Well, first of all....do those two people want anyone else to know that they were together? If not....do I smell blackmail?

Okay...that's a bit sinister, but in this world? Hey! As Mr. Filch said when you are going into the dark forest, "You have to keep your wits about ya."

Guess I am just paranoid. FYI....it wasn't me in the pics and I will keep on saying that. That's my story and I am sticking to it.

This is really sweet. I took a photo of a mom and daughter at a concert recently, and I wish I had a way to give it to them. I captured them arm-in-arm enjoying the music, and I think they would love the image.

Maybe the next trend after selfies (I really hate that word) will be strangeries...taking pictures of strangers and offering to them. This would be a huge improvement on the self portrait obsession.

11:32 PM: If someone did a brain scan of me, they would find a certain part of my brain lights up whenever someone says the word "selfie." The same part that lights up when I see someone trimming their nails on the subway, or cycling the wrong way down the street while chatting on the phone. I should have more control of my emotions...
