I've done it both ways. When we were in Colorado I told everyone that we were leaving, but when we went to California a month ago I didn't mention it until I got back. I don't really think it matters much.
I think we've solved that problem. We just don't go anywhere anymore....

If you have a blog, do you post while you're away on a trip, or does putting up a post while you're gone feel like you're hanging a sign outside the house that says, "burgle me!"??
